Playing with Color
This week, I went to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. They've currently got an exhibit called Wild Color and it was super cool. It was also a really fun exhibit to take photos in. There was this gorgeous throne surrounded by luscious curtains in the red section, and giant yellow chairs in front of a blown-up photo of dandelions on another floor.
They also had a section about light, where you could stand in front of a white wall being lit by colored lights and hold up items that would separate and filter various wavelengths. My brother, his friend, and I had fun playing around with this and taking photos. I don't have a studio, so I don't normally get to play with light this way.
It was really cool to see the multi-colored shadows and the way they overlaid and blended.
I really recommend bringing a camera if you go to this exhibit or another like it. I took these on my phone but it was still really fun to play around with color and light and learn about colors in nature. The exhibit was really cool.
